Questions buyers ask first
Straight answers, written into the page. If yours isn't here, ask us: we reply the same business day.
Working with us
How many clients do you take on?
We take on what allows the founder to be inside every engagement, and we say no early when it doesn't. We turn down most inquiries: not to seem exclusive, but because a slow yes and a fast no save everyone time.
How fast can you start?
It depends on what's in flight. Tell us your date and we'll tell you straight whether we can hold it. What we won't do is skip the thinking. Most rework on product engagements traces back to a discovery phase squeezed to hit a start date.
Will you work in our timezone?
We're in Ahmedabad, India, and work with teams worldwide. We overlap for working sessions and work async for everything else. Most of what we do is decision-forcing sessions, not daily standups.
Commercials
How much does it cost?
Every engagement is a fixed fee, set after scoping, and you'll have the full number in writing before anything starts. If you're not sure the build is worth it, start with a Venture Diagnosis: its fee is credited against the build if you go ahead.
Can we negotiate the price?
Scope is negotiable; the price follows the scope. If the number doesn't work, we'll show you what comes out to reach it. If what's left won't produce the outcome, we'll tell you that instead of quietly shipping a thinner version.
Do you take equity?
Only when we're building a new venture with an established business, only after launch, and only on top of fees. We don't do equity-only builds.
How do payments work?
Milestone-based, as set out in your proposal. Monthly work is billed in advance.
Ownership
Who owns the code and the work?
You do. Code lives in your repository from day one, and IP transfers to you on payment.
Is my idea safe if I share it with you?
Anything you submit stays private by default. We never publish, share or use your idea as an example without your separate, explicit consent.
Process
We have a partial build, or a prototype made with AI tools. Can you work with that?
Usually, yes. Much of our work starts with something already built. We assess what exists before committing to extend it. Sometimes the right call is to build on it; sometimes the architecture blocks where you're trying to go, and restarting is cheaper. We'll tell you which, with the reasoning, and you decide.
What if it doesn't work out?
There are two versions of that question.
- If the fit is wrong: you can stop at any milestone, and you pay only for the milestones completed. We'd rather find out early than late.
- If the idea is wrong: sometimes the honest outcome is that the thing shouldn't be built. A diagnosis that stops a bad build is worth more than a build that ships. We'll say so, with reasoning, and you keep everything that got us there.
Fit
How do I know if I'm ready?
You have a real problem or a working prototype, a budget set aside for it, and you can make decisions in days. If you're not sure the idea is worth building, that's exactly what a Venture Diagnosis is for, and the honest answer is sometimes "not yet."
Can you also do something that isn't listed?
Ask. If it sits inside strategy, creativity or technology, probably yes. If it doesn't, we'll tell you and point you to someone who does it properly.
What we don't do:
- workflow automation as a standalone service
- internal IT tooling
- equity-only builds
- consumer apps, marketplaces, hardware, crypto or direct-to-consumer e-commerce
That's not a judgement on those categories; it's just not where our pattern recognition is.
Will AI take your job?
It's already taken part of it, and that's the point. Producing output got cheap. What's scarce now is the judgement to pick the right thing and the craft to finish it properly. If our value were volume, we'd be worried. It isn't.
Creative
Can you make our launches look as good as the product?
That's what AI Creative Build is for: brand, product design and launch creative, made by people who understand what the feature actually does. Work with us per project or monthly.
Partners
We're an agency. Will you go direct to our client?
No. We build behind your brand, communicate through your tools, and the non-solicitation is in the contract. You keep the client. How partnerships work.
